By the decision of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, full-time classes at Polish universities will remain suspended until Sunday, 24 May. This also applies to Gdańsk University of Technology. At the same time, the university authorities decided on the possibility of remote defense of diploma theses.
The stationary didactic classes at Gdańsk University of Technology will be resumed on Monday, 25 May. This results from the regulation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education from Friday, 24 April.
During this time, didactic classes at Gdańsk University of Technology will continue to be conducted remotely, which is regulated by the provisions of the Circular Letter of the GUT Rector No. 9/2020 of 17 March 2020.
Defense of theses at PG in a remote form
On Monday, 27 April, prof. Krzysztof Wilde, GUT rector, also decided on the possibility of conducting defenses of diploma theses by GUT students in a remote form.
As part of the new Decree of the GUT Rector, for students who were to submit their diploma theses by 30 April 2020 (winter semester), this deadline was extended till 30 September. In turn, students whose defenses are scheduled for the summer semester are bound by the current deadline for submitting their theses (i.e. until 30 September).
Moreover, at the student's request, the diploma exam can be conducted remotely - using the GUT eNauczanie platform.
