bioRxiv (established in 2013) is a free online archive and distribution service for unpublished preprints in the life sciences. By posting preprints on bioRxiv, authors are able to make their findings immediately available to the scientific community and receive feedback on draft manuscripts before they are submitted to journals. Papers hosted on bioRxiv undergo basic screening and are checked against plagiarism, but they are not peer-reviewed, edited, or typeset before being posted online.

ChemRxiv is a submission, distribution and archive service free of charge for unpublished preprints in chemistry and related areas. The service gives researchers the opportunity to share early results with colleagues and respond to comments for improvement.

Preprints submitted to ChemRxiv are not prepared for publication; the files are unedited, and are not peer-reviewed; the basic screen for plagiarism, offensive language, and non-scientific content is conducted. The main purpose is to post scientific findings quickly for broader discussion by the community. During the ChemRxiv posting process preprints receive DOIs. ChemRxiv will add a link to the published version within a few weeks of journal publication.

ChemSpider offers text and structure searching to find compounds of interest and provides unique services to improve this data by curation and annotation, and to integrate it with users’ applications.

  8. AHFS Consumer Medication Information
    includes descriptions and information on medicines for patients, available in both English and Spanish.
  9. MasterFILE Premier
    designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, also contains full text for reference books and primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of photos, maps and flags.
  10. Newspaper Source
    provides cover-to-cover full text for U.S. and international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text U.S. newspapers. In addition, full text television and radio news transcripts are also provided.

    contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Coverage for Agricola dates back to 1970. The citations are comprised of journal articles, monographs, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials, and technical reports related to agriculture.
  2. MEDLINE
    provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine.
  3. GreenFILE
    offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.
  4. Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts
    indexes core journals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.
  5. European Views of the Americas (1493-1750)
    database is a valuable index for libraries, scholars and individuals interested in European works that relate to the Americas. The database is a comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750.
  6. Teacher Reference Center
    provides indexing and abstracts for the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is an annual publication by Clarivate Analytics. It has been integrated with the Web of Science and is accessed from the Web of Science Core Collections. JCR provides information about academic journals in the natural sciences and social sciences, including impact factors, and it allows the users to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from scholarly and technical journals and conference proceedings.

JCR are released annually. Thanks to the options offered by Web of Science the users are able to acquire, analyze, and disseminate database information in a timely manner.

The service contains: Law Acts Database and modules of civil labour, administrative, commercial, public procurement, European Union, tax and  intellectual property laws. Legalis offers also specialist modules including, besides Private Law, Administrative Law and Criminal Law Systems, also online comments, translator, explanations concerning human resources and pay systems, financial accounting, occupational safety and health (OSH), public procurement, model letters and contracts including letters and contracts in English, French, German and Russian.

PubChem is an open chemistry database maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (Bethesda). It is the world's largest collection of freely accessible chemical information. The database includes information on chemical structures, identifiers, chemical and physical properties, biological activities, patents, health, safety, toxicity data, and many others. 

PubChem has been considered a key chemical information resource for scientists, students, and the general public. Users can search chemicals by name, molecular formula, structure, and other identifiers. Find chemical and physical properties, biological activities, safety and toxicity information, patents, literature citations and more. PubChem mostly contains small molecules, but also larger molecules such as nucleotides, carbohydrates, lipids, peptides, and chemically-modified macromolecules.

PubMed is a free resource supporting the search and retrieval of biomedical and life sciences literature with the aim of improving health–both globally and personally. Database comprising citations for biomedical literature and related disciplines such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering. It does not include full-text journal articles, however, links to the full text are often present when available from other sources, such as the publisher's website or PubMed Central (PMC).

Provide access to the Reaxys Base module, which contains a set of data from earlier Beilstein databases (structures and reactions, physicochemical and ecopharmacological properties, and a bibliography for organic compounds) and artificial intelligence-based modules: Reaxys Target and Bioactivity and Reaxys Predictive Retrosynthesis. The database also incorporates patent data from all English-language patent offices and major Asian patent offices.

Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD) is a service offered by the ISSN International Centre with the support of the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO. ROAD provides a free access to a subset of the ISSN Register which is comprised of bibliographic records which describe scholarly resources in Open Access, assigned an ISSN by the ISSN Network (journals, conference proceedings, monographic series, repositories and scholarly blogs). The bibliographic records have been enriched by metadata about the coverage of the resources by indexing, abstracting, citation databases, registries and journal indicators.

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is a professional association in the United Kingdom. The RSC carries out research, publishes peer-reviewed journals, books and a collection of online databases, as well as hosting conferences, seminars and workshops. The RSC publishing portfolio covers the core chemical sciences.

Elsevier is one of the the world-leading publishers of scientific, technical and medical information products and services. Gdańsk Tech Library provides access to Elsevier e-journals through the ScienceDirect platform.

According to the agreement for 2022-2024, the national license includes journals (current and archival) from subject collections: Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Immunology and Microbiology, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy (catalogue 2023). The license also covers selected book packages purchased in 2015 and 2016: monographs from 2013 and 2014 and volumes of book series or handbooks from 2011-2015.

Gdańsk Tech also provide access to two thematic collections: Materials Science i Chemical Engineering, which include more than 270 electronic journals covering the disciplines of: materials engineering, chemical engineering, chemical sciences, biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, mining and energy. Subscription covering the current yearbook and archive from 2020-2022.

The 2022-2024 agreement with Elsevier includes a programme allowing researchers affiliated with the institutions that have obtained the license to publish in Elsevier Gold Open Access and hybrid journals.

Science, the peer-reviewed academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, is one of the world's top academic journals (since 1880). The major focus of the journal is publishing important original scientific research and research reviews, but Science also publishes science-related news, opinions on science policy and other matters of interest to scientists and others who are concerned with the wide implications of science and technology.

The national license of the Science covers access to the yearbooks since 1997. Selected older annuals are also available, check: A to Z List.

Science operates on a subscription model only, with a separate Open Access journal for open publishing - Science Advances.

Scopus is the Elsevier's abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature (journals, books and proceedings). It covers content from all research areas: health sciences, social sciences and physical sciences. Every book or journal before being indexed in Scopus is reviewed using transparent criteria by independent experts. Records consist of citing information, abstract and link to the full text on the publisher's website (but the access to it requires active subscription). Users can also find (where possible) links to research data related to the article.

The articles are divided into four categories: arts and humanities, law, education, and social sciences. SpringerLink is Springer’s online delivery platform which provides access to scientific documents including online collection of books, journals, reference works and protocols covering a range of various disciplines. Users have access to online collection of Science, Technology and Medicine and Humanities and Social Sciences.

The national license covers current journals and archival journals with all archival years available on the server, see the 2020 catalog. For selected titles, deep archives from before 1997 are available.

As part of the license, e-books are also available. The collection includes all of Springer's English-language books from the first editions in the 19th century to 2019 inclusive, except for the 2016 yearbook and the Intelligent Technologies and Robotics Robotics collection. Web of Science (WoS) is an online subscription-based scientific global citation database for many different academic disciplines. WoS is currently maintained by maintained by Clarivate Analytics. WoS is described as a unifying research tool which enables the user to acquire, analyze, and disseminate database information in a timely manner. The licence includes two citation index packages - Core Collection and Citation Connection - as well as Journal Citation Reports (JCR) from the year 1997 and Essential Science Indicators.

Wiley is a publishing company which specializes in academic publishing. Wiley Online Library is a subscription-based library containing a collection of online resources covering life, health, physical sciences, social science and the humanities.

The national licence covers selected journal titles from the full Wiley collection. Resources covering life, health, physical sciences, social science and the humanities.

In 2016, Wiley's national license was extended to e-books released between 2009 and 2015, see catalog. Electronic versions of books available under a national license for unrestricted use by institutions are termed "o-book" in contrast to "e-book" versions sold for one-time download for individual customers.
