Students with disabilities

We’re committed to providing equality of opportunity through the best possible level of support to disabled students.

Most of the buildings at the Gdansk University of Technology are adapted to the needs of students with physical disabilities. The adaptations include the ramps, stair platforms and lifts. Student Dormitories have rooms adapted to the needs of the disabled.

Gdańsk Tech Library (including departmental branches) has text magnifiers (magnifiers, electronic magnifiers), a computer adapted for use by the visually impaired or persons in wheelchairs. The University also provides support by converting teaching materials into the digital version.

We also offer support for assistants to the disabled and the departmental assistants to the disabled.

Students and doctoral students, both disabled and with health condition difficulties, may count on getting the consent to the implementation of an Individual Study Program. Such entitlements enable students and doctoral students to participate in the classes of higher year groups, to get course credits in an extramural form, or to set individual dates and alternative forms of crediting with the teachers, to name a few.
