Celebrating an anniversary of obtaining the right to use the HR Excellence in Research logo, Gdańsk University of Technology hosted representatives of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CVUT).
Alena Kralova from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering and Jaroslava Merunkova from the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics of the Czech Technical University in Prague arrived to GUT as a part of a study visit. Their aim was to learn about our university's experience in obtaining the HR Excellence in Research logo from the European Commission, as well as developing and implementing the HR4R Strategy.
Last year, the CVUT expressed support for the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Currently, with governmental financial support, the university is developing a plan for implementing the European Commission recommendations for the Charter and the Code. One of the stages of preparing the HR4R Strategy at the Czech Technical University is to exchange experiences with universities that have already passed this process. A series of meetings of the CVUT representatives with the GUT employees from various administrative offices involved in the implementation of the HR4R Strategy at our university was held. The GUT participants were from Quality Management Office, Projects Office, Scientific Affairs Office, Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Safety Inspectorate, Personnel Department and International Relations Office. The visit was hosted by Quality Management Office.
Information on the GUT HR4R Strategy is available at https://pg.edu.pl/excellence-in-research/en.
