Times Higher Education published a list of European universities boasting spectacular architecture and plush green spaces, ranking Gdańsk University of Technology among the universities in Bologna, Salamanca and Uppsala.
The article describes the GUT Main Building extensively, stating that the Dutch neo-Renaissance style construction is one of the most recognizable elements of the entire campus. The authors also explain the intricate decorations covering the facade.
Many of the most beautiful universities in Europe are also some of the oldest in the world, but the ranking mentions also contemporary buildings.
