12 Polish universities have been ranked in this year's edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Gdańsk University of Technology classified among the Polish universities present in the ranking.
THE World University Ranking is one of the most valued and opinion-forming ones in higher education. This year, 1102 colleges and universities from all over the world have been ranked there.
The ranking is prepared by the British magazine "The Times Higher Education". Institutions are evaluated on the basis of five areas: education, internationalization, research, citation and publication rates, and business co-operation.
Only universities that have published at least one thousand articles in journals indexed in the international Scopus database over the last five years can be included in the ranking.

Like last year, the University of Oxford came first in the ranking. Between 801-1000, together with Gdańsk University of Technology, there were also other Polish universities: Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, University of Silesia, and Wroclaw University.
