"Nanostructures and Computer Simulations in Material Science" is a new MSc course starting at the Gdańsk University of Technology Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics in the summer semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The course will take 2 years (4 semesters) and all lectures will be held in English. Students enrolling in the current academic year are exempted from tuition fees.
Students of this specialization will gain knowledge in material engineering as well as experimental and computational nanotechnology. They will achieve the ability to combine experimental and theoretical work with computer modeling and simulation. Laboratory classes and project activities constitute over 40% of the study program. Additionally, students will have the possibility to participate in various scientific projects conducted at the faculty.
The first edition of the course is supported by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development. The best ten international students who enroll in 2018 will be provided with a monthly scholarship (PLN 1500, approx. EUR 350).
