The Silicium Supporting Core R&D Facilities program is part of the implementation of the IDUB program tasks in the field of effective use of existing and planned key research infrastructure under Action V.6. - Improving the Research Infrastructure Management System. The objective of the Program is to develop, implement and support an efficient system of research infrastructure management at the Gdansk University of Technology aimed at effective use of the University's research potential, especially in priority research areas (PRA), and at increasing its attractiveness for the most talented scientists from Poland and abroad. Managers of the projects qualified for co-financing in this Program will be able to apply for investment co-financing provided within the Core Facilities Operational Program.

What you stand to gain?
Research infrastructure applications may be submitted by heads of organizational units, including laboratories and research teams, and coordinators of PRA centers.
The maximum project period is 36 months.
Direct project costs may include:
- personnel costs of developing, implementing, and supporting a research infrastructure management system, including scientific, technical, and brokerage support for the operation of key research infrastructure;
- running costs of infrastructure operation;
- costs of purchasing supplementary equipment necessary to achieve the functional completeness of the infrastructure (with exceptions described in the regulations)
- costs of necessary modernisation and adaptation of premises (with exceptions described in the regulations)
The maximum co-financing of direct project costs is respectively:
- 70% in the case of personnel costs;
- 50% in the case of non-personnel costs.
