Gdańsk University of Technology has started implementation of the project entitled “Innovative Learning Opportunities within ENHANCE European Education Pathways,” which has received funding of PLN 1,173,070 under the “SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programmes – Call 2025,” organised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

As part of the project, Gdańsk University of Technology will launch six intensive international education programmes in the form of summer and winter schools. These will be interdisciplinary courses thematically aligned with the educational offer of all faculties of the university as well as the Doctoral School.

The programmes will be delivered in a blended format (Blended Intensive Programmes), combining on-site activities at Gdańsk University of Technology (with the possibility to join online) with a remote component. This approach will enable participation also for those who are unable to take part in physical mobility, while increasing accessibility and outreach and reducing environmental impact.

Each course will include at least 30 hours of teaching activities, including lectures, workshops, laboratory classes and project-based learning. Participants will work under the supervision of experts from partner universities of the ENHANCE alliance, among others TU Berlin, Politecnico di Milano, ETH Zürich and TU Delft.

The project constitutes Gdańsk University of Technology’s contribution to the development of the One Campus concept and short-term educational offer within the ENHANCE Innovative Learning Campus. The courses developed within the project will be available to students, doctoral candidates and staff of partner universities, as well as participants from outside the alliance.

An important element of the project will be the formal verification of learning outcomes and the awarding of micro-credentials in line with European standards. This will facilitate the recognition of acquired competences and their integration into study programmes, including within the ECTS framework.

The project will contribute to improving the quality of education, developing participants’ competences and further internationalising Gdańsk University of Technology. It will also strengthen cooperation with leading academic institutions in Europe and enhance the university’s attractiveness as a place for modern education and research.

The project is led by Justyna Lubośna, Ph.D., Eng., Gdańsk Tech professor – Head of the ENHANCE Office. It will be implemented by the ENHANCE Office at Gdańsk University of Technology, with a university-wide scope involving faculties, the Doctoral School and other units, including the Project Office at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics and the Project Management Centre.

The project will be carried out from 1 June 2026 to 31 July 2027 under the project agreement no. BPI/SPI/2025/1/00001/U/01.
