What is the Open Science Hub?

The Open Science Hub is an initiative bringing together experts, practitioners, and enthusiasts of Open Science in a series of online meetings aimed at sharing experiences and best practices. The series is addressed to librarians and information specialists, experts in scholarly communication and research data management, as well as researchers and educators who wish to actively participate in the transformation of science. Its main focus is on topics related to Open Science and scholarly communication, with individual themes defined according to the needs and expertise of the participants. The meetings are held online via the MS Teams platform, and the entire series will conclude with an in-person meeting during a staff week, offering an excellent opportunity for deeper collaboration and exchange of experiences.

What is Open Science?

Open Science is an approach to conducting scientific research based on transparency, collaboration, and universal access to knowledge. Its core idea is the free sharing of publications, data, software, methods, and research results, as well as open peer review processes and public engagement in science. The goal of this approach is to facilitate access to knowledge, increase the reliability and reproducibility of research, and accelerate scientific progress through collaboration and the sharing of results.
