What is Open Science?

Open science is an approach to conducting research based on transparency, collaboration, and universal access to knowledge. Its core idea is the free sharing of publications, data, software, methods, and research results, as well as an open peer review process and citizen science activities. The goal of this approach is to facilitate access to knowledge, enhance the reliability and reproducibility of research, and accelerate scientific progress through cooperation and the sharing of results.
