Uranium Supporting Cooperation With High Schools

The Uranium Supporting Cooperation With High Schools program is part of the implementation of IDUB tasks in the field of improving the quality of education of students and doctoral students, in particular in fields and disciplines related to the priority research areas of the university, Action III.3. (Improving the system of admission for studies in order to attract the best candidates). The aim of the program is to support the cooperation of the university with secondary schools, mainly from outside the Tri-City, selecting the most talented graduates as future students of Gdańsk University of Technology, in particular in fields related to the research topics of PRA Centers. The way to achieve the goal are grants for Gdańsk Tech employees coordinating the cooperation of the university with a selected secondary school.

New in the fourth edition is a list of bonus schools - it includes schools in which high school graduates achieved the highest baccalaureate results in science subjects. Additional points can be received for undertaking cooperation with a school on the bonus list.

Budget and project implementation conditions
  • The amount of the grant in the URANIUM program is a maximum of PLN 30 000, and its implementation period is not longer than 12 months.
  • Grant applications may be submitted by teaching or research and teaching staff of Gdańsk Tech. 
What cost categories can be planned in the project?

The costs may include, among others:

  •  remuneration for the grant manager, paid in the form of a teaching supplement to the basic salary;
  •  costs of implementation of projects by Gdańsk Tech representatives as part of cooperation with a secondary school.

Regulations will be amend in the future. 

How to apply?
  • The call for proposals will run from January 3, 2022 to Febuary 29, 2023 at 11:59 pm.
  • The application must be submitted electronically only through the MojaPG system in the Grants Module
  • The application must be accompanied by a declaration of intent to cooperate on the part of the high school principal in the form of a draft cooperation agreement or letter of intent.
