The Copernicium International Grant Application Support program helps support the acquisition of prestigious international grants (described in par. 2 sec. 1 and 6 of the Journal of Laws. 2019 item 392 - Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 22 February 2019 on evaluation of the quality of scientific activity) by scientists of Gdańsk University of Technology, in particular ERC grants and other grants included in the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs.

Projects financed by grants from the new Program will be implemented as part of the activities of the Gdańsk Tech Research Centers established at the end of last year (BioTechMed, EkoTech, Materials of the Future and Digital Technologies).

For whom?

For employees of the Gdansk University of Technology, employed at the university as their primary place of work, intending to apply for a prestigious international grant, in particular among ERC grants, grants in Horizon 2020 and then Horizon Europe and other prestigious international research programs.

What you stand to gain?

The planned budget of the grant under the Program may not exceed PLN 140 000, and its implementation period may not exceed 12 months. As part of the grants awarded, it is possible to finance, among others, the costs of developing the project application, incurred within 12 months before its submission, and one-time salary bonuses for employees who were involved in the process of developing the application for an international grant.

How to apply and how will applications be evaluated?

The call for applications under the Copernicium Program is continuous.
The application must be submitted only in electronic form through the MojaPG system in the Grants Module
The application in the Copernicium Program must be submitted at least 1 month before the end of the call in the competition for the international program.
