ENHANCE+ Diversity Office Annual WP10 Summit | Gdańsk University of Technology

On 1-4th June 2025 Gdańsk University of Technology have had a great pleasure to host our colleagues from 10 European Universities on ENHANCE + Alliance Diversity Office Annual WP 10 Summit in Gdańsk / Sopot.

During the meetings assessment of progress in ongoing diversity & inclusion initiatives, development of new (sub)tasks and action plans also strengthen collaboration & knowledge-sharing exchange among ENHANCE Alliance members & local stakeholders have been discussed.

Through the 2025 meetings evaluation of past achievements have been done & new development directions have been set to contribute to the continued success of the ENHANCE+ Alliance initiatives.

Two community workshops for Diversity Office have been held :

• “Impact- in context of diversity” – open space has been hold to discuss in smaller groups various topics, focused on inclusion of less represented groups, impact and dissemination of the activities as well as ways of active outreach and possible future campaigns. It has been said Measurement of impact we have had on community will be extremely difficult to assess in the same way as prediction of good or bad effect we have had on the community.

• “The World Café” - included 4 questions we have had to find answers to, discuss & share experiences about:

  • Inclusive campus culture
    “What practices foster a sense of belonging for diverse students & stuff on our campuses?”

  • Inclusion, diversity , equality in research
    “Inclusion, diversity and equality in research at Technical Universities”

  • Embedding DEI in Organizational Structures
    “How can we ensure diversity, equality &inclusion are not just projects based, but structurally embedded in our institutions?”

  • Students voice & engagement in diversity work
    “How can we meaningfully involve students in designing and implementing diversity initiatives?”.

All information have been analyzed and shared. The best solutions and sugesstions for iniciatives have been collected. Work Package 10 will have a look at this ideas and will take them under consideration for further actions within alliance. We have had a productive and inspiring time with our colleagues from ENHANCE+.
