We are pleased to announce that Alina Guzik and Mariusz Krzyżanowski from the Faculty of Management and Economics have been awarded with funding in the ENHANCE Testbed Competition 2025 for their project SHIFT: Scenarios for HyFlex Teaching and Learning.

The project supports the development of inter-university student collaboration by promoting innovative, hybrid teaching formats in an international environment. As part of the initiative, an interactive e-book will be created, featuring practical HyFlex class scenarios designed to enable collaborative learning among students from ENHANCE Alliance partner Universities.

The HyFlex model offers participants the flexibility to choose between in-person, live online, or asynchronous participation. This approach fosters inclusivity, flexibility, and strengthens international educational exchange.

The project will be carried out in cooperation with TU Delft (Netherlands), represented by Franca Jonquiere, Manager of Teaching and Learning Services, and students from both institutions. The aim is to develop ready-to-use, practice-oriented class scenarios based on active learning methods and inter-university collaboration.

Among the proposed teaching activities are:

  • An inter-university innovation hackathon using the Design Thinking method

  • Classes based on the "jigsaw" (cooperative learning) model

  • A student TEDx-style mini-conference titled "Generation Z: How Do We Learn?"

  • Storytelling workshops to develop presentation and communication skills

  • A negotiation simulation to strengthen teamwork, persuasion, and decision-making competencies

  • An Oxford-style debate featuring students from different universities

All scenarios will be tested in practice. The completed e-book will be made available under an open license, along with multimedia resources, templates, and guidelines for academic teachers from ENHANCE member institutions.
