Call for Applications: Käte Hamburger Kolleg: Cultures of Research Fellowships 2026/2027 | Gdańsk University of Technology

The Käte Hamburger Kolleg: Cultures of Research (c:o/re) in Aachen has announced a call for prestigious research fellowships for postdoctoral and senior scholars.

The program begins in October 2026, and the application deadline is December 31, 2025.

In the academic year 2026/2027, the center will focus on the theme “varieties of science”, inviting proposals related to:

• comparisons between countries and their institutional–cultural research contexts,
• methods for studying differences between research cultures,
• case studies of specific varieties of science in selected countries.

Fellows will receive full financial support, a workspace within an interdisciplinary research environment, and access to the infrastructure of RWTH Aachen University. Residency in Aachen for at least 6 months is required.

Women and researchers from the Global South are particularly encouraged to apply.
