Who can apply?
- BSc and MSc students from universities within the ENHANCE Alliance (RWTH students excluded).

Join an innovative online course designed to give you practical insights into modern industrial assembly systems and manufacturing systems engineering. This ENHANCE Compact Course helps you understand how today’s production environments combine strategy, technology, robotics, and sustainability.
Course Structure
Part 1: Industrial Assembly Systems
- Assembly planning and control
- Manual and automated assembly
- Company and manufacturing strategy
- Production system design
Each topic is presented in concise 10–15 minute video lectures with slides.
Part 2: Manufacturing Systems Engineering
Delivered by Prof. Tolio from Politecnico di Milano
- Introduction to Manufacturing Systems Engineering
- Circular Economy of Electric Motors
- Manufacturing Systems Engineering – Use Case Study
Each module includes a 30–45 minute lecture.
At the end of the course, students complete a 30-question online quiz covering all modules. Successful participants receive 1 ECTS credit.
