Gdańsk University of Technology at the HACK-4-SAGES International Hackathon
Students and doctoral candidates from Gdańsk University of Technology took part in the international HACK-4-SAGES hackathon dedicated to modelling planetary environments using Digital Twin technologies.
On 10–12 March 2026, Gdańsk University of Technology participated in the international hybrid hackathon HACK-4-SAGES, focused on modelling planetary environments using Digital Twins.
Students from Gdańsk University of Technology took part in the event with their project “ExoTwin”. Doctoral candidates from the university were also involved in the hackathon, serving as mentors for 11 teams from around the world. The hackathon explored the application of Digital Twin technology in three areas: Origins of Life, Life Detection and Biosignatures, and Exoplanet Habitability. A total of 194 students from 25 countries across five continents applied to participate in the event.
The hackathon was organised with the support of funding from the ENHANCE Testbed grant.
