Call for applications for the Disponium Empowering Doctoral Students through Research Mini-Grants Program | Gdańsk University of Technology

The program is aimed at doctoral students at the Doctoral School of Gdańsk University of Technology (first through fourth year of study) and is designed to support their research activities as part of their doctoral dissertation.

Under the program, participants may receive funding of up to 12,000 PLN to cover research costs, including the purchase of equipment, materials, services, and software.

Application deadline: June 1, 2026 – June 15, 2026.

Applications will be evaluated within 30 days of the application deadline by a committee appointed by the Rector (members of the committee), and then forwarded along with the evaluation to the Rector for a decision. Applications that do not meet the requirements described in the program rules will not be considered.

Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically via the Moja PG system (Grants module) in response to this announcement.

I hereby establish the following criteria for evaluating applications:

• quality of the substantive justification of the application: 0–30 points
• relevance of the activities included in the schedule from the perspective of completing the doctoral dissertation: 0–40 points
• relevance of planned expenditures: 0–20 points
• prestige of the article (only 1) published after enrollment in the Doctoral School and substantively related to the doctoral dissertation: 10 points for a Q1* article, 5 points for a Q2* article (publication is not required to submit an application).

*Article status on the date of application evaluation (according to Scopus or Web of Science).

The project duration is set at a maximum of 12 months, provided that it does not extend beyond the end of December 2027 or exceed the 8th semester of study at the Doctoral School, whichever comes first.
