The Ferrum Enhancing International Dimension of Research-Oriented Learning Program is part of the implementation of IDUB's tasks in the area of increasing the quality of students' education aimed at improving their competence in participating in research projects under Measure III.1 - Improvement of the education system at the first and second degree programs and Measure III.2 - Modification of the education system for doctoral students. The aim of the Program is to improve the quality of education at Master's degree programs and the Doctoral School of Gdansk University of Technology, as a result of increasing the participation of renowned scientists from foreign centers in the didactic process at these studies, in the form of monographic lectures and seminars.

For whom?

For research or research and teaching staff of the Gdansk University of Technology with a minimum of a doctoral degree employed at the university as their primary place of work.

What you stand to gain?

Under the Program, it is possible to obtain funding for the costs of arrival and stay at the university of renowned scientists from foreign centers teaching 15 or 30 hours of teaching during a short-term stay at a second degree or doctoral school. It is understood that the minimum number of 15 hours can be carried out for no more than 10 days, and the maximum number of 30 hours, for no more than 20 days

Funding for internship costs is a lump sum and includes:

  • The cost of travel and stay (accommodation and subsistence allowance) of the lecturer, according to the cost estimate which is an essential part of the application, with the maximum funding not to exceed the amount of PLN 25,000.
  • Funding for travel and accommodation is according to the actual costs incurred, while residence allowances are financed in the amount of 400 PLN/day of stay.
  • Implementation
  • At the stage of implementation of the awarded project, it is necessary to register the arrival of a foreign researcher in the MOJA PG system - employee/arrivals. 

How and when to apply for funding?

The call for applications under the Program is continuous.
The application is submitted electronically through the Grants module.

The deadline for submission of the application is June 30, assuming the implementation of the lecturer's stay in the following academic year. It is also possible to submit applications on a continuous basis until September 30 of a given year, subject to the annual limit in accordance with the regulations.
