How we define our work:
1. Strategic analysis:
a) monitoring the implementation of the University's strategy and development opportunities, including the preparation of statements and analyses commissioned by the University authorities and departments and their registration;
b) development of conclusions and recommendations for the University authorities and improvement of processes commissioned by the University authorities;
c) supporting the University authorities in planning, coordinating and improving strategic processes;
2. Educational quality
a) supporting departments and the University in obtaining national (including PKA, KAUT) and international accreditations related to educational quality, including support in the development of self-assessment reports and active participation in accreditation evaluations;
(b) Participation in the work and administrative support of the University Committee for Quality Assurance of Education at Gdansk University of Technology, i.e., among others:
- developing draft documentation on the formation of policy, assurance and improvement of educational quality, including University-wide procedures and legal acts related to educational quality at Gdansk University of Technology;
- Development and improvement of tools to support and monitor the University's System for Assurance and Improvement of Educational Quality at Gdansk University of Technology;
c) Participation in the work and administrative support of the ECTS Catalogue Team;
d) cooperation with the PG Degree Programs Team in monitoring the timeliness and correctness of published information on degree programs in the ECTS Catalog;
e) Cooperation with CUI to implement improvements in the ECTS catalog and the "Study Programs" application, as well as other PG information systems related to educational quality;
f) monitoring of domestic and foreign experience in the field of educational quality;
3. Research quality of laboratories
Research quality, assisting research laboratories and/or other units of the Gdansk University of Technology in obtaining and maintaining accreditation at the Polish Center for Accreditation and/or certification, including the development of documents that form the basis of these processes and participation in internal and external audits;
4. Management and organisational quality:
a) supporting the University authorities in preparing reports in connection with institutional evaluations (domestic and foreign);
b) coordinating activities related to the participation of Gdansk University of Technology in rankings and pro-quality national and international competitions, including:
- following changes in methodologies and analyzing the results in order to obtain better and better results;
- promotion of the results obtained;
c) conducting activities related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the University's Social Responsibility (SOU), including but not limited to:
- maintaining a register of initiatives related to SDGs and SOU;
- Preparing annual reports on SDGs and SOU;
- initiating SDGs and SOU activities including conducting idea generation workshops;
- Promoting the activities of the Gdansk University of Technology in the field of SDGs and SOU;
d) maintenance and updating of web pages on: the work of the center, quality of education, ECTS catalog, Sustainability;
5. Ongoing maintenance of the center's administrative records and other tasks as directed by the Vice-Rector for Organization and Development.
The Strategic Analysis Center is under the authority of the Vice-Rector for Organization and Development.
