ENHANCE Lunchinars: Diversity

lunch
ENHANCE Diversity Office launched this year a new educational format.

ENHANCE Lunchinars — short, engaging learning sessions on urgent diversity topics in academia. Our first series featured three thought-provoking sessions showcasing the expertise of our academic community about racism, diversity criticism and IT accessibility

Participants responded enthusiastically to this new concept, nearly 300 registered from across ENHANCE and beyond, rating the sessions 4.3/5 on average—with 84% wanting more sessions and 81% recommending them.

Here are the upcoming sessions:

▶️ October 30 at 12:00 CETHow to improve Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – Key learnings from a tour of Technical Universities in Europe and the US by Kai Lo Andersson (Chalmers)

What can ENHANCE learn from leading technical universities around the world? In this Lunchinar, Kai Lo Andersson (Chalmers) will present insights from their research, based on interviews with experts at top-ranked institutions in Europe and the US. Together, we will reflect on the findings and ask the questions: Are we doing better than others? Worse? Or are we just average? Join us for an engaging presentation and honest discussion on how ENHANCE can do better?

▶️ November 17 at 12:00 CETUnderstanding Neurodiversity by Dr. Łukasz Sienkiewicz from Gdańsk Tech (confirmed) and Maria Alfonso Molina from UPV (not yet confirmed)

What is neurodiversity affecting 15–20% of people. Why does this topic receive significantly less attention so far? How can an organization become more open to neurodiversity inclusion? Dr. Łukasz Sienkiewicz from Gdańsk Tech will share insights on what makes organizations truly neurodiversity-inclusive. Together with Maria Alfonso Molina from UPV (Invited, not yet confirmed) also making research on Neurodiversity, we will discuss why neuro-inclusion matters and where ENHANCE stands today. Come and discuss with us.
