Over 470 students from 42 countries – ranging from Singapore through China, Russia, EU countries, the USA, and Brazil – were admitted to studies at Gdańsk Tech this year. On Thursday, September 30 at 10:00 AM, an online Welcome Meeting will be held for all newly admitted international students.

Every year, the International Academic Cooperation Department organizes an informational meeting for international students beginning their studies at Gdańsk Tech. The event is not only an opportunity to welcome new foreign students to the university but also to provide important information related to the start of the academic year, study organization, and life in Gdańsk.

During the meeting, students will learn, among other things, how to complete the residence legalization process in Poland, obtain a student ID card, what matters they can handle at the dean's office, and how to utilize the resources of the Main Library and the services offered by the Career Office. Students will also receive a package of information regarding COVID-19 issues related to the organization of classes at the university, current restrictions in Poland, and vaccination opportunities.

As every year, a representative from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk will participate in the event to provide students with important safety-related information. Students from the Erasmus Student Network Gdańsk (ESN Gdańsk) will also give a short presentation.

The meeting will be held on the MS Teams platform. International students will receive the event link via email. The International Academic Cooperation Department will also provide information about the meeting during the registration week organized from September 20 to 24 in building no. 11. Information about the event will also be communicated to students by staff from the dean’s offices at individual faculties and the faculty coordinators of the Erasmus+ program.
