PhD student with the award of the audience in the competition "My doctorate in 180 seconds"
The Polish edition of the "My PhD in 180 seconds" competition enables the presentation of research topics for doctoral students from various universities to a wide audience. Each participant must present a clear, concise and convincing presentation of their research project in French within three minutes. Works from any field could be submitted for the competition: from mathematics, through literature and biology, to architecture and many others.
During the national finals, the audience award went to Ahmed Lakhdar Kouzou, who represented the doctoral school of Gdańsk University of Technology. Our PhD student talked about his thesis, the topic of which is "Sensorless control of a five-phase machine in single-engine and multi-engine operation modes", written under the supervision of Marcin Morawiec, PhD, DSc, Eng. Professor at Gdańsk Tech. The places on the podium were taken by: Michalina Kowala from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (1st place), Kamil Bieniek from the Polish Academy of Sciences (2nd place) and Paula Bednarz from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (3rd place). The distinction went to Safouara Reza from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.
This year's final of the national competition "My doctorate in 180 seconds", organized by the French Institute in Poland in cooperation with the French Culture Center and the Association of Polish Romanists "Plejada", was again held online. It appointed the best PhD students who will represent Poland in the Central European Final, organized in Vienna on 7 June 2022.
