This year's podium of the Pomeranian Ranking of High Schools and Technical Schools 2023 invariably belongs to the 3rd Secondary School in Gdynia. The first among technical schools was the M. Płażyński’s Technical School of Information Technology. in Puck.

The position in the ranking depends on several factors, primarily the result of the secondary school-leaving exams and the successes of students of a given school in national and international subject Olympiads. In the case of technical secondary schools, the results of vocational exams are also taken into account, and in the case of bilingual schools - the result of the foreign language exam at the bilingual level. The ranking is created by three objective groups: directors of District Examination Boards, chairpersons of committees of major subject competitions and rectors of universities.

Together with the national ranking, the ranking of the best secondary schools in individual voivodeships is announced, broken down into general and technical secondary schools. III Secondary School with Bilingual Classes named after of the Polish Navy in Gdynia, Stefan Żeromski’s V High School in Gdańsk and Gdańskie Liceum Autonomiczne (the Gdańsk Autonomous High School) in Gdańsk are the winners at the top of this ranking, which is identical to the previous year.

There were minor changes among the technical schools. The first place was taken by the M. Płażyński’s IT Technical High School. in Puck, which in 2022 took the third position. Technical School No. 4 in the Complex of Secondary Technical Schools of Communication Technology moved up one place. Defenders of the Polish Post Office in Gdańsk. The last on the podium is the Technical School in the IT School Complex in Słupsk.

The nationwide gala of the High Schools and Technical High Schools Ranking 2023 takes place this year on January 12 at the Kozminski University in Warsaw. This is the 25th edition of the most popular ranking of schools in Poland. This year, the first place among high schools was taken by Stanisław Staszic’ XIV High School in Warsaw, and the 3rd Secondary School in Gdynia was ranked fifth. The leader among technical schools became the Mechatronic Technical School No. 1 in Warsaw. The best Pomeranian Technical School from Puck took 28th place.

Gdańsk University of Technology is a partner of the organizer of the ranking. Representatives of the Student Self-Government of Gdańsk University of Technology visited the three best high schools and technical schools with congratulations, met with the principals and invited students and teachers to the Open Day at Gdańsk Tech.
