LUMEN 2024. Gdańsk Tech with an award for universities classified in the THE WUR ranking | Gdańsk University of Technology

THE WUR ranking is one of the most famous and prestigious rankings of universities in the world. It evaluates universities in terms of scientific and organizational achievements, quality of teaching and cooperation with the economic environment.

In this year's edition, covering over 2,000 universities from around the world, Gdańsk University of Technology was ranked in the 1001-1200 range, at the same time taking 5th place in Poland. Together with the AGH University of Science and Technology, Gdańsk University of Technology is the highest ranked technical university in the country.

Gdańsk University of Technology has once again found itself among the best universities in the world, which confirms its dynamic development, high quality of scientific research and education, as well as effective cooperation with the economic environment. This distinction also emphasizes the growing position of Gdańsk University of Technology on the international academic map and its ability to compete with the best research centers in the world.

The awards were presented during the LUMEN 2024 conference, organized by PCG Academia, Times Higher Education and the Polish Rectors Foundation, which for years has been a platform for the exchange of experiences and discussions on challenges in higher education management.
