The Technology Transfer Centre invites you to participate in the event IP & Innovation Day: from science to business. It features panel discussions, meetings with company representatives, and workshops.
The meeting will take place on April 3, 2025, in the Hydromechanics building at Gdańsk Tech, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Discussion Panel
During the discussion panel featuring scientists and company representatives, we will present three inspiring examples of technology development from Gdańsk Tech, based on various commercialization scenarios and cooperation with the Technology Transfer Centre:
Session I: Challenges on the path to licensing technology in industry using the example of the bio-plastic NOPLA
Session II: Technology development in a spin-off company using the example of W2H2 sp. z o.o. and the innovative pyrolysis reactor
Session III: R&D work in the form of custom contract research using the example of cooperation with Grupa Azoty S.A.
Business Speed Meetings
We invite you to participate in short meetings with company representatives in the “Speed Meetings” format from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. In preparation for the event, we collect a range of challenges from business representatives that they want to solve in cooperation with Gdańsk Tech.
To take part in the meetings, scientists should complete the application form, specifying their domain competencies aligned with the areas of National Smart Specializations.
Based on the collected information, a schedule of 5-minute meetings will be arranged, during which both parties will be able to discuss potential collaboration paths.

Practical Workshops
As part of IP & Innovation Day at Gdańsk Tech, practical workshops for scientists will also be held, covering the state-of-the-art search and patent database searching (2 modules at different levels of advancement), as well as the practical use of the Innovation Readiness Level KTH IRL® tool for assessing the development of innovative projects.
Register as a participant for the selected workshops, the number of places is limited.
Intellectual Property & Innovation Days on April 1–3, 2025
The event is part of the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & INNOVATION DAYS, taking place from April 1–3, 2025, at the University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk Medical University, and Gdańsk Tech. This is a joint initiative prepared by the Technology Transfer Centres of the three Gdańsk universities.
The program includes lectures, workshops, discussion panels, meetings, consultations with experts – including representatives of companies open to cooperation with the scientific community as well as representatives of the Technology Transfer Centres.
