Gdańsk Tech in the QS Sustainability Ranking 2026
The QS Sustainability Ranking evaluates universities both as centres that have social and environmental impact, and as major employers facing the challenges of sustainable management of a complex organisation. As many as 52 indicators across three categories are taken into account:
- environmental impact – weight 45%
- social impact – weight 45%
- governance – weight 10%
The growing interest in sustainable development issues and the increasing willingness of universities to undergo detailed assessment in this area make the QS Sustainability Ranking increasingly competitive – the number of universities ranked in the 2024-2026 editions increased by almost 600, from 1,403 to 1,994 institutions. In the QS Sustainability Ranking 2026, Gdańsk Tech improved its score, from 65.3 to 69.7 out of 100. Despite this, the university ranked lower globally, moving down from 424th to 479th place.
Lund University, the University of Toronto and UCL took the top spots in the global ranking.
The highest-ranked in Poland were the Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw and the University of Gdańsk.
The QS Sustainability Ranking includes only selected universities with significant scientific achievements. More information about the ranking rules can be found here.
