Gdańsk Tech's score in the Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026
The Interdisciplinary Science Rankings (ISR) is a ranking that measures universities’ contribution to the development of interdisciplinary science, which is key to solving contemporary global challenges. In the ISR 2026, the Gdańsk University of Technology was ranked in the 301-350 band globally and joint third in Poland.
The ISR ranking, prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) in association with Schmidt Science Fellows, ranked 911 universities from 94 countries this year. The ranking is based on three pillars further divided into eleven metrics:
- interdisciplinary science research funding (8%),
- industry funding for science (11%).

Thirteen Polish universities were ranked in the ISR 2026 edition. The highest-ranked Polish institution was the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, which took 190th place globally. Second in Poland was the AGH University of Krakow, ranked in the 251-301 band. Third place nationally was shared by the Gdańsk University of Technology and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, which ranked in the 301-350 band globally.
