Gdańsk Tech Among the Highest-Rated Polish Universities in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026
Gdańsk Tech has once again been highly rated in the international ranking of universities engaged in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, the university was placed in the 401–600 range worldwide and jointly 2nd position in Poland.

In the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, the university was placed in the 401–600 range worldwide and jointly 2nd position in Poland.
Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings, formerly known as THE Impact Rankings, evaluate universities based on their impact on achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Consideration is given, among others, to activities in the fields of scientific research, education, collaboration with the socio-economic environment, university management, and the implementation of solutions supporting sustainable development.
In this year’s edition, Gdańsk Tech submitted data relating to 12 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. It was ranked highest in the area of Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, placing within the 101–200 range.
The university also achieved high results in the following categories:
Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – rank 201–300
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities – rank 201–300
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – rank 201–300
Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy – rank 301–400
Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – rank 301–400

The 2026 edition covered 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories. Gdańsk Tech’s position confirms the university’s consistent commitment to sustainable development efforts — through scientific research and education, as well as cooperation with external partners and the implementation of solutions addressing contemporary social, economic, and environmental challenges.
