Gdańsk Tech once again among the world’s top universities in QS World University Rankings
Gdańsk Tech maintained its position within the 801-850 range in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings 2027, holding the same rank for the third consecutive year. In this year's edition, the university ranked 6th in Poland among 20 Polish universities included in the ranking and 3rd among Polish technical universities.

In this year's edition, the university ranked 6th in Poland among 20 Polish universities included in the ranking and 3rd among Polish technical universities.
QS World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious and frequently cited global university rankings. In the 2027 edition, 8808 institutions from 106 countries were analyzed, and ultimately 1504 of the best institutions were ranked.
The ranking methodology is based on five main evaluation areas:
- Research and Discovery – 50%, including: Academic Reputation (30%) and Citations per Faculty (20%);
- Employability and Outcomes – 20%, including: Employer Reputation (15%) and Employment Outcomes (5%);
- Global Engagement – 15%, including: International Faculty (5%), International Research Network (5%) and International Students (5%);
- Learning Experience – 10%, measured by the Faculty Student Ratio indicator (10%);
- Sustainability – 5%, assessing university activities in the field of sustainable development.
An important element of the QS methodology are global opinion surveys conducted among academic community representatives and employers. Together, the Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation indicators account for 45% of the final university score in this ranking.
Maintaining the position of 801-850 for the third consecutive year confirms the stable position of Gdańsk Tech among the best universities in the world and its strong position in Poland.
