Pomeranian Universities United in Support of the Knowledge Metropolis

The rectors of five public universities in Pomerania, along with the chairpersons of university councils, have signed a joint statement endorsing the Act on the Metropolitan Union in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The document was signed by representatives of the Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk Tech, the University of Gdańsk, the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.

Gdańsk Tech among PGE partners in energy transformation

During the PGE Innovation Day 2026, framework cooperation agreements on innovation were signed with nine academic and research centers. Gdańsk Tech was included in this group.

Award for Research on Biogas Purification

Edyta Słupek from Gdańsk Tech was recognized during the ORLEN Biomethane Meeting, an event dedicated to the development of biogas and biomethane technologies in Poland.

The Gdańsk Tech representative won third place in the doctoral thesis category. She was awarded for her work on the use of sensor techniques in new methods of selective biogas purification from compounds causing unpleasant odors. The thesis supervisor is PhD DSc Eng. Jacek Gębicki, prof. Gdańsk Tech.

Sailing Competition Involving Gdańsk Tech

The crew of AZS Gdańsk Tech competed in the second round of the Polish Youth Sailing League. Gdańsk Tech students, defending the title of Youth Club Champions of Poland, ranked among the leaders of the competition standings.

After two rounds of the season, AZS Gdańsk Tech holds a podium position in the overall classification. The next stage of the competition will take place in July in Szczecin.
