Offshore Industry is a new field of study at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. Conducted in cooperation with the Naval Academy in Gdynia, it is a response to the demand of leading companies in a rapidly developing industry.

Recruitment began on August 1.

– Participants will acquire qualifications and skills in conventional and renewable energy, as well as industry and national security. They will learn about the specifics of offshore industry operations: fundamentals of oil and gas engineering, offshore wind energy, hydrogen production and transport technologies, and carbon dioxide capture, transport, and storage. Thanks to cooperation with the Naval Academy in Gdynia, participants of the postgraduate studies will gain more knowledge in the protection of marine installations for production and transmission of raw materials and electricity – says MSc Eng. Wojciech Olszewski, head of the Offshore Industry postgraduate studies.

After completing this program, graduates will be able to advance their careers in key components of the offshore industry's supply chain, including:

  • offshore wind energy,
  • hydrogen technologies related to the storage and processing of marine energy,
  • carbon dioxide and other emissions reduction, acquiring the versatility necessary for expanding knowledge and career development.

The studies are also aimed at employees of power plants, heavy industry, and service providers who want to gain knowledge about entering the offshore industry, its operation, and the protection of marine energy infrastructure.
