Nearly PLN 3 million awarded in the first edition of the VENTUS-HYDROGENII-REDIVIVUS program

The funds awarded under the competition will support implementation-oriented research conducted at the University in the area of technologies of key importance to the economy, in particular wind energy, hydrogen technologies and closed-loop economy.

In the completed call, the following projects received funding:

1. project title: Horizontal axis wind power plant with the low-speed multiphase brushless doubly-fed generator with dedicated power electronics.

Funds awarded: PLN 979,700

2. Project title: Wireless sensing and charging for wind turbine blades condition monitoring system.Project Acronym: WIRELESS BLADE

Project Manager: Marcin Łuczak, Ph.D. (CMEW)

Funds awarded: PLN 994,344

3. Project Title: Wide-field, high-resolution optical inspection of wind turbines with multi-task video processing at the edge

Project Manager: Daniel Węsierski, Ph.D. (WETI)

Funds awarded: PLN 997,802.50

The results of the evaluation of the applications submitted under the REDIVIVUS area will take place in September 2022.

The results of the evaluation of applications submitted under the HYDROGENIA area will take place in October/November 2022. 

Funding under the program will be in two stages. The first tranche will be disbursed in the amount of 70% of the funding obtained, and the second tranche will be disbursed upon completion of the milestones identified by the Evaluation Committee.
