Recruitment for the Titanium program

Under the Program, it is possible to obtain funding to cover the costs of activities aimed at obtaining or extending international legal protection for an invention.

Who is eligible?
An application for funding may be submitted by an employee, doctoral student, or student of Gdańsk University of Technology.

Funding may only be granted for activities related to inventions to which the University will be entitled – in whole or in part – to property rights, and the University is not subject to restrictions on the commercial use of the invention.

Please read the instructions for preparing the application and the tutorial.

What can you gain?
The maximum funding for activities is PLN 18,000.00 gross
Eligible project costs include:

  • patent search costs (prior art analysis),
  • costs of preparing documentation for invention applications under the international PCT procedure, the European procedure, and the national procedure.
  • costs of translating application documentation,
  • costs of official application fees.

The condition for granting co-financing is the obligation of the entity applying for co-financing to cover the costs of obtaining a patent in further procedures (validation costs in selected countries, official fees, etc.).

If the rights to the invention covered by the application belong to the University in part (joint rights), the funding is proportional to the University's share in these rights, determined on the basis of an agreement on joint rights to/from the patent concluded with the other co-owners of the invention.

What is the project implementation period?
The maximum project implementation period is until the end of December 2025.

How and when to apply for funding?
The call for applications will run from 07.10.-31.10.2025.

The Technology Transfer Center analyzes the legal conditions and commercial potential of the invention and obtains an opinion from the PG Patent Attorneys Team on the patent potential of the invention.
