The content of the agreement will still be subject to consultations with the academic community of each university.
The framework agreement that the universities within the Fahrenheit University Alliance (FarU) intend to conclude is planned to be signed after the third academic debate titled "Why do we need the Fahrenheit University Alliance?" on December 9, 2021. It will take place at the University of Gdańsk. The second debate, on November 18, will be organized by the Medical University of Gdańsk. More information and registration forms are available here.
The conclusion of another cooperation agreement aims to clearly express the will for joint action and integration of the three universities, and to confirm this will through broad consultations with the communities and stakeholders of each university, as well as explicitly basing integration on shared values and goals. It would also include a declaration regarding the intention to establish a university federation in the future (while preserving the autonomy of each entity), which would also be supported by consultations.
The proposed content of the new agreement can be reviewed below, and senates of the universities will debate it during November sessions. The FarU authorities, namely the rectors of GUMed, Gdańsk Tech, and UG, as well as the Director of the Alliance, Professor Adriana Zaleska-Medynska, emphasize that every representative of the academic communities of all three universities has the opportunity to submit comments on the content of the agreement by email to: office@faru.edu.pl. Emails can be sent until December 3, 2021. See the proposed agreement content
