Uncertainty, stress, overload, or simply feeling unwell affects more and more of us. According to the latest data, up to 20% of young people show symptoms of depression. Sadness, a sense of resignation, excessive guilt, helplessness – these are just a few of the many symptoms of this serious illness.
In light of recent events – the COVID-19 pandemic, the war on our eastern border, as well as the daily rush, stress, and uncertainty – psychological help has become more necessary for many people than ever before. According to the 2021 report by the Independent Students’ Association Analysis Center – “Students’ Mental Health,” 64% of students believe that access to free psychological help is insufficient – which underscores the scale of the problem.
Guided by the desire to help all those who feel they need professional support, the Independent Students’ Association together with the initiative “The Presja” offer the opportunity to participate in free psychological consultations. These are held remotely, enabling any student to benefit from them regardless of their place of residence, university, or field of study.
The consultations started on October 17, 2022. Registration takes place through the Independent Students’ Association website, where it is possible to select a convenient date and time for the consultation as well as choose a therapist.
An email confirmation will be sent to the address provided during registration. Meetings with specialists are conducted via the Microsoft Teams platform and last 50 minutes.
The offer is also addressed to individuals who do not require immediate assistance, whose consultations can teach them how to cope with long-term stress, difficult emotions, and pressure, as well as support their overall mental well-being and show them how not to succumb to excessive societal expectations.
