“PIRANIA” – guardian of critical infrastructure

Gdańsk Tech signed a consortium agreement with RADMOR (part of the WB GROUP) for the construction of the inspection vehicle “PIRANIA”. The new system, based on Polish technical expertise, is intended for monitoring underwater critical infrastructure, including pipelines and telecommunications cables.

Prof. Tomasz Janowski at the head of the global digital government association

Digital Government Society (DGS) is a global, multidisciplinary, professional association aimed at promoting research, public policies, and best practices in digital government, i.e., the use of digital technologies to generate public value, transform public administration, public policies, and the relationship between the state and society, as well as implementing the digital public agenda. Prof. Janowski from the Department of Computer Science in Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdańsk Tech was elected president-elect of the DGS for a two-year term, for 2026-2027.

Preparation against a dangerous bacterium

Scientists from Gdańsk have developed a preparation to combat one of the more dangerous hospital bacteria. The preparation fights Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and its development was undertaken by a team of researchers from three Gdańsk universities – Medical University of Gdańsk, University of Gdańsk, and Gdańsk Tech.
