On June 24, 2026, Gdańsk Tech hosted Demo Day, concluding the 9th edition of the pre-incubation program Startup School One, organized by the PG Biznes Hub team. The event marked the culmination of a three-month cycle of workshops, mentoring, and project work, during which participants developed their business ideas, validated market needs, and prepared to present to experts.

During the finale, eight teams developing innovative solutions in the areas of new technologies, security, medicine, energy, creative industries, and tourism presented their projects in 4-minute pitches. The projects showcased on stage were: Meerkat, Twist&Flow, moVRehab, Fly2Kite, Fungithread, Spaculabs, uTrip, and ClearVision. Each team presented the results of their work completed during the program, demonstrating both the technologies under development as well as business models and plans for further growth.

The presentations were evaluated by a jury consisting of business experts and practitioners: Daniel Kulig, Marcin Wesołowski, Igor Subocz, PhD Eng. Marcin Szczepański, and Wojciech Leonowicz. Aside from project assessments, participants received constructive feedback regarding the further development of their ventures, market entry preparation, and collaboration with business partners and investors.

An important element of the event was also the speeches by special guests. Marcin Wesołowski – entrepreneur, Gdańsk Tech alumnus, and co-founder of EstiCRM – shared his journey from a student startup to building and selling a developed technology company, emphasizing the importance of patience, consistency, and long-term thinking in business development. Meanwhile, Wiktor Lachowski, a laureate of a previous edition of Startup School One and participant of the Startup School Two grant program, and co-creator of Raylock Systems, presented the story of his company's growth and experiences gained during the programs, as well as showcased a prototype of his product: a pan-tilt platform for dual-use technology.

Awards during Demo Day

In this edition of the event, the Jury’s assessment coincided with the public vote results, with the Fly2Kite team—consisting of Michał Jaroszek, Marceli Kitłowski, Marcel Kiraga, and Maciej Jakubowski—receiving the highest number of votes and a prize of PLN 1,000. The Jury also selected the team to participate in the largest European startup competition - Stage Two 2026.

Agnieszka Niekurzak and Anna Szczerbyna from the PG Biznes Hub team were responsible for organizing Demo Day.

The success of this year’s edition was the result of the work of many individuals involved in supporting the participants’ development. Throughout the program, the teams were supported by mentors Arkadiusz Kwoska, Jan Raczyński, and Jan Cudzik, while during the workshops knowledge and experience were also shared by Jan Wyrwiński and Aleksandra Hinc.

Startup School One provides real support for people who want to transform innovative ideas into tangible business ventures. The program enables participants to verify the potential of their solutions, work with mentors and experts, and acquire practical competencies in technology entrepreneurship. Demo Day is not only the program’s finale but above all the starting point for the further development of many projects with a chance to succeed on the market.
