1st place of our students in Formula Student Poland
Students from the PGRacing Team finished the season with a victory! They took first place in Formula Student Poland and also stood on the podium in individual competitions – at events in Poland, as well as during FS Alpe Adria in Croatia, FS Austria, and FS Czech Republic. Congratulations!

– Many hours of work and determination have brought us truly great results. Despite the downpour, we took to the track ready to compete. However, the weather conditions forced the organizers to halt the Endurance event. After a long wait, we returned to the track, and by the judges' decision, the first run was repeated. The competition started anew – the students emphasize. – The water covering the track did not foil the plans of our drivers. One of them, despite the worst conditions, recorded the fastest lap time in the entire field – 01:31.981! The total time secured us first position. The PGR-09 car proved reliable on the track. For the first time since the construction of the PGR-05, we completed all dynamic events, including the most demanding one – Endurance, at two editions of the competition.
The PGR-09 also placed 1st in the Endurance, Efficiency, and Skidpad events; 2nd in the Engineering Design Event; 3rd in Acceleration; 5th in Cost & Manufacturing; and 6th in Autocross and Business Plan Presentation.
New Car, Better Results
It was an exceptional season for the students. In this year’s competition, they took part with a new car – the PGR-09, which is over 20 kg lighter than the PGR-08. It features a new telemetry and gearshift system, a new power unit (KTM 690), suspension layout, and sensors (damper sensor, ride height sensor, IMU on the axes). The students also designed a proprietary exhaust muffler, and the fuel tank was relocated outside the engine bay.
About the Competition
Formula Student is an engineering competition for university students from around the world, divided into dynamic and static events. Teams independently design and build a race car that competes with other constructions on race tracks worldwide. Students must demonstrate not only knowledge in design but also in marketing and project costing.
The PGRacing Team project could not exist without the support of both the university and internal partners, whose number grows year by year. The support received takes various forms – from financial assistance to the provision of products or the manufacturing of parts necessary for the car. However, every partnership is equally valuable to the team. For the students, collaboration with companies signifies that someone from the industry has believed in their project and recognized its potential.
The PGRacing Team is a group within the Scientific Circle Mechanik, supervised by Dr. Eng. Bogdan Ścibiorski.
