1st place of our students in Formula Student Poland
Students from the PGRacing Team finished the season with a victory! They took first place in Formula Student Poland and also stood on the podium in individual competitions – both at the events in Poland as well as during FS Alpe Adria in Croatia, FS Austria, and FS Czech Republic. We sincerely congratulate them!

– Many hours of work and determination have brought us truly excellent results. Despite the downpour, we took to the track for the competition. However, the weather conditions forced the organizers to suspend the Endurance event. After a long wait, we returned to the track, and by the judges' decision, the first run was repeated. The competition effectively started anew – the students emphasize. – The sheet of water covering the track did not thwart the plans of our drivers. One of them, despite the worst conditions, clocked the fastest lap time in the entire field - 01:31.981! The combined time secured us first position. The PGR-09 racecar proved reliable on the track. For the first time since the PGR-05 was built, we completed all dynamic events, including the most demanding one – Endurance, in two editions of the competition.
Additionally, the PGR-09 placed 1st in the Endurance, Efficiency, and Skidpad events; 2nd in the Engineering Design Event; 3rd in Acceleration; 5th in Cost & Manufacturing; and 6th in Autocross and Business Plan Presentation.
New racecar, better results
This was an exceptional season for the students. They competed with a new racecar this year – the PGR-09, which is over 20 kg lighter than the PGR-08. It features a new telemetry and gear-shifting system, a new power unit (KTM 690), suspension layout, and sensors (damper sensor, ride height sensor, IMU on the axles). The students also designed a proprietary exhaust muffler, and the fuel tank was relocated outside the engine compartment.
About the competition
Formula Student is an engineering competition for university students from around the world, comprising dynamic and static events. Teams independently design and build a racecar that competes against other constructions on race tracks worldwide. Students must demonstrate skills not only in design but also in marketing and project budgeting.
The PGRacing Team project could not exist without the support of both the university and internal partners, whose number grows year by year. The support received takes various forms – from financial assistance to providing products or manufacturing essential parts for the racecar. However, every partnership is equally valuable to the team. For the students, working with companies is a sign that someone from the industry believes in their project and sees its potential.
The PGRacing Team is a group from the Mechanics Scientific Circle, supervised by Dr. Eng. Bogdan Ścibiorski.
