Gdańsk University of Technology to host its first Young Founders Camp – a four-day educational and project-focused trip for Gdańsk Tech students who want to develop their own ideas, gain practical skills, and explore where their idea can lead them.
From October 19 to 22, 2026, participants will travel to the Gdańsk Tech Recreational Center in Czarlina, where they will work on their projects, take part in workshops, mentoring sessions, and consultations, as well as develop skills useful for implementing their own ideas.
Young Founders Camp is not only about workshops and lectures – it is primarily a space to work on developing your own idea. Participants will go through the successive stages of project work: from defining the problem and target audience, through validating the idea and working on the solution, to preparing and presenting the project before a jury.
To participate in the camp, all you need is an idea or a problem you want to solve. You do not need to have a finished product, prototype, or business model – you can submit a project at any stage of development.
Program
The camp program is divided into four days, each corresponding to a successive stage of project development.
Day 1 – Know yourself. Get to know your idea.
The first day will be dedicated to getting to know your strengths, values, motivations, and competencies. Next, participants will examine their ideas, the problems they want to solve, and the target audiences. This is the time to organize the idea, define the key assumptions of the project, and consider which assumptions still require verification.
Day 2 – Validate your idea
The second day will focus primarily on validating the idea. Participants will work on the project model, formulate and verify their assumptions, and confront them with the needs of potential recipients. The goal will be to gather information to assess what works in the project, what needs to be changed, and what is worth further development.
Day 3 – Develop your project
On the third day, participants will look at their projects from the perspective of the market and possibilities for further development. They will analyze the competition and consider how to reach their first users or customers.
An important element of this day will also be short, individual mentoring meetings – an opportunity to discuss projects with mentors, receive concrete advice, and consult the next steps.
Day 4 – Prepare your pitch
The last day will be devoted to preparing the final presentations. Participants will learn the principles of effective pitching and storytelling and will then prepare their presentations.
The camp will culminate in a mini-final where participants present their projects before a jury. Based on these presentations, winning projects will be selected in each of the three tracks.
Three tracks
During Young Founders Camp, participants will develop projects in one of three tracks: business, social, or scientific.
Business track is intended for ideas for products, services, ventures, and other solutions that can find application in the market.
Social track is aimed at individuals who want to develop projects addressing important social problems or needs.
Scientific track is dedicated to projects based on scientific knowledge, research results, technology, or other solutions with research, implementation, or development potential.
Who is it for?
Young Founders Camp is aimed at adult students of Gdańsk Tech studying at the first or second cycle who hold active student status.
You can apply with an idea, problem, or need on which you want to work, as well as with a concept for a scientific or social project. Neither a ready team nor a developed project is required.
Each candidate applies individually and may present one idea or project.
Participants of Young Founders Camp are entitled to exemption from academic classes during the camp.
Participation in Young Founders Camp is free of charge, and the number of places is limited. In the 1st edition of the camp, a maximum of 20 people will participate.

Location
Gdańsk Tech Recreational Center in Czarlino
October 19-22, 2026
Young Founders Camp will be held in a residential format, outside the university campus. This will allow participants to combine intensive work on projects with integration, exchanging experiences, and meeting other people interested in developing their own ideas.
Detailed information regarding travel, accommodation, meals, and return arrangements will be provided to selected participants before the event.
Why participate?
Young Founders Camp is an opportunity to organize and develop your idea, learn how to verify whether it meets a real need, and gain practical knowledge about project development.
Participants will be able to benefit from mentor and expert support, meet other students interested in entrepreneurship, find people to collaborate with further, develop presentation and pitching skills, and test their idea in practice.
What next for the winning projects?
Winning projects from each of the three tracks will have the opportunity to present themselves during the Young Founders Conference – an event targeted at students interested in entrepreneurship, startups, innovation, and activities within Science Clubs.
The projects will be able to appear on stage and be presented to representatives of business, startups, and the environment supporting young entrepreneurship. This will be the next step from an idea developed during the camp to a presentation before a wider audience and potential partners.
