Call for applications for the 5th edition of Francium program | Gdańsk University of Technology

 As part of the program, pro-quality scholarships are awarded to outstanding participants of the Doctoral School, in particular to doctoral students conducting research in international cooperation.

Who is it for? 

Applications for scholarships may be submitted by third- or fourth-year Doctoral School participants who meet the mandatory conditions, i.e.: 

1.  a positive opinion from their supervisor regarding their progress in research work;
2.  having at least one scientific article published or a manuscript accepted for publication in the 2024/2025 academic year in a journal indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science, located in quartile Q1 or Q2 (excluding works in journals published by publishers using the Business Open Access Model), in which the doctoral student is the first or second author and which is substantively related to the future doctoral dissertation
3.  attachment to the application of a statement by the doctoral student on the substantive connection between the article referred to in point 2 and the future doctoral dissertation, signed by the doctoral student and his/her supervisor.
4. Applications may also be submitted by doctoral students after their fourth year who have obtained an extension of their education at the Doctoral School and whose pro-quality scholarships have previously been suspended in accordance with the program regulations.

What can you gain?

• The pro-quality scholarship in the Program amounts to a maximum of PLN 4,000 per month. 
• The scholarship is awarded for a period of 12 months – for a given academic year. If the competition is announced during the academic year, the scholarship is paid with compensation from October of that academic year.
• Scholarships are paid exclusively by bank transfer to the account indicated by the doctoral student in the MojaPG university IT system.

How to apply?

• Funds under the Program are awarded on a competitive basis.
• The call for applications will last from October 6 to November 15, 11:59 p.m.
• Applications can be submitted via the Moja PG website in the Grants module.
