11th Congress of Active Mobility
Kajetan Lewandowski, a representative of the Center for Strategic Analysis, took part in the deliberations of the 11th Active Mobility Congress. The event was held at the European Solidarity Center in Gdansk. The organizers of the conference were the City of Gdansk and the Polish Union of Active Mobility. The congress was attended by more than 200 people representing local governments, NGOs, consulting companies and universities.
Over the course of two days, the deliberations dealt with issues of active mobility, including cycling and walking. An important topic of the session was also a discussion of greenery and the possibilities of introducing it into the fabric of the city. Among other things, officials presented plans for the development of the city's bikeway network, which directly relates to the possibility of reaching our University's Campus. Gold and silver "Cyclist Friendly Employer" certificates were also handed out.
A representative of Gdansk University of Technology was also able to get acquainted with bicycle gamification solutions implemented by the city of Krakow and a project jointly implemented by the city of Braga (Portugal), Tallinn (Estonia), Istanbul (Turkey) and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden). This allowed us to compare and exchange good practices with our University, which, let us remind you, implemented together with the University of Gdansk, the "Bike to University" campaign. The final and summary of the entire campaign will be held soon.
