Assessment Committee of ACEEU at Gdańsk Tech | Gdańsk University of Technology

On October 6-7, 2022. Gdansk University of Technology was visited by the Assessment Committee of ACEEU (Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities).

ACEEU is the only international quality assurance organization that focuses on assessing the degree of engagement and entrepreneurship in higher education. ACEEU's international accreditation process is designed to demonstrate that Gdansk University of Technology can count itself among entrepreneurial and engaged universities according to the standards of the certifying organization.

During the accreditation evaluation, the Commission met with more than sixty people: the University's academic and administrative staff, students, doctoral students, alumni, and representatives of the regional authorities and the business community.

Members of the Evaluation Commission had a chance to get to know Gdansk University of Technology during a tour of the campus. They visited the PG Library, the Linte2 laboratory and the ProtoLab laboratory.

WIMiO students Piotr Domanowski and Filip Bulawa, who use ProtoLab, presented a fully functional underwater vehicle that can be built by anyone with access to 3D printers and simple electronic tools. They are currently in the process of commercializing the idea - they are selling online courses that allow anyone to build the devices they designed on their own - an excellent example of our students' entrepreneurial spirit.

We will receive a report on the results of the ACEEU accreditation in about 8 weeks.
