The presentation and promotion of scientific achievements and the popularistaion the Sustainable Development Goals constitute an integral component of the cooperation agreement signed by Fahrenheit Universities and Hevelianum on 21 February 2023.

The anticipated outcomes of the collaboration are scheduled for presentation on 28 May at the Fahrenheit Science Picnic 2023. The event will focus on the implementation of measures to enhance the quality of life and the condition of our planet, as outlined by the United Nations in the Sustainable Development Goals.

Fahrenheit Science Picnic

A science town will be established on Góra Gradowa for the Fahrenheit Science Picnic. A dedicated area for children's entertainment will be provided. For those of a slightly more advanced age and their parents, there will be an extensive programme for discovering science through play, including a spectacular science show.

The organisers will ensure that the use of plastic and paper is minimised in order to reduce the environmental impact of the event.

The inaugural Science Picnic, organised by Gdańsk Medical University Gdańsk University of Technology, University of Gdańsk and Hevelianum, was held on Góra Gradowa on the last Sunday in May 2022.

As recalled Paweł Golak, director of Hevelianum, a multitude of tents were erected on the main square, and over 3,000 visitors availed themselves of the attractions. It is my hope that the agreement signed today will facilitate not only the replication of the success of last year's event, but also the incorporation of new elements. Each institution contributes its own values to the agreement. The Hevelianum's domain is ecology, and its greatest potential lies in the experience of educators who work daily with children, young people, and families.

The following individuals signed the agreement:

- Monika Chabior, Deputy Mayor of Gdańsk for Social Development and Equal Treatment

- Paweł Golak, Director of Hevelianum

- Prof. Dr. Marcin Gruchała, Rector of Medical University of Gdańsk

- Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology

- Prof. Dr. Piotr Stepnowski, Rector of the University of Gdańsk

- Prof. Dr. Adriana Zaleska-Medynska, Director of Fahrenheit Universities in Gdańsk

The cooperation agreement signed by Fahrenheit Universities and Hevelianum is in line with the 17th Sustainable Development Goal described by the UN: Partnerships for the Goals.
