Gdańsk Tech is introducing the LEX AI legal office, enabling the use of LegalTech solutions based on artificial intelligence. This innovative AI solution, specialized in Polish law, serves as a virtual legal assistant for businesses, administration, and individual users, and is the result of collaboration between Gdańsk Tech scientists and specialists from the company Lex AI.
LEX AI is a Polish specialized artificial intelligence model focused on handling issues of Polish law, developed in cooperation between a team led by Prof. Andrzej Czyżewski from the Multimedia Systems Department at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at Gdańsk Tech and experts from LEX AI company. It was created based on thousands of real legal opinions prepared by Polish law firms, as well as carefully prepared source files covering the entire Polish legal system and the vast majority of court rulings published in Poland. Thanks to the combination of cutting-edge technologies, such as advanced knowledge graphs and natural language processing algorithms, LEX AI has become a unique tool that bridges the world of law and technology.
LEX AI revolutionizes preliminary legal verification, shortens the time for searching specific issues, interprets legal acts and specific factual situations, and answers questions regarding the compliance of particular actions with applicable law.
Cooperation Agreement
On Monday, June 1, Gdańsk Tech and Lex AI concluded a cooperation agreement under which 50 LEX AI PRO MAX packages will be delivered to Gdańsk Tech. The tool to be implemented at Gdańsk Tech has been integrated with current case law (3.4 million documents in the database, over 200,000 legal opinions) and aligns with the “smart university” strategy by simplifying time-consuming bureaucracy.
– Gdańsk Tech consistently develops solutions utilizing artificial intelligence to support science, administration, and cooperation with the socio-economic environment. LEX AI is an excellent example of a project where the knowledge and experience of our scientists have been translated into a practical tool addressing real needs of public institutions and enterprises – says Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech. – The implementation of this solution at our university fits perfectly into the strategy of building a modern, intelligent university. I am convinced that LEX AI will become a valuable support for our administrative staff.
– Our goal is to provide a tool that accelerates information analysis, supports document preparation, and increases organizational work efficiency – explains Attorney Kajetan Komar-Komarowski, CEO of LEX AI. – LEX AI does not replace lawyers. It is a combination of legal knowledge, law firm experience, and the latest achievements in artificial intelligence.
The LEX AI packages will be made available to Gdańsk Tech faculties and centers and are intended to provide significant support to administration.
The priority is user data security – the LEX AI law firm operates on servers located within the European Union, and data is not used to train AI models. The system ensures not only security but also client data confidentiality.
