Call for applications in the 3rd Polonium International Doctoral Fellowships competition (17.10 - 01.11) | Gdańsk University of Technology

Please note

In accordance with the rector's decision and the introduction of the new regulations of the POLONIUM program, it will not be possible to extend the POLONIUM scholarship awarded to the winners of the competitions of AY. 2020/2021 and 2021/2022. Such persons, as doctoral students of higher years, will be able to apply for a scholarship under the FRANCIUM program, for which recruitment will also be announced soon.

Program recipients

Applications for the supplementary fellowship may only be submitted by persons admitted to the Doctoral School at Gdansk University of Technology, beginning their first-year education, whose academic supervisor is an employee of Gdansk University of Technology and who have not previously been doctoral students at Gdansk University of Technology. 

Funding conditions 

• The fellowship in the program is a maximum of PLN 2,500 gross per month and is awarded for a maximum of 12 months. 
• Payment of the fellowship can begin only after the competition has been decided and the status of a doctoral student has been achieved, i.e. after arrival in Poland, presentation of the original documents constituting the basis for admission to the school, taking the oath and declarations necessary for payment of the doctoral fellowship, and entry into the list of doctoral students.
• Fellowships will be paid only by bank transfer to the account indicated by the doctoral student in the MojaPG university's computer system.

• The call for applications for the program will be conducted from October 17, 2022, to November 1, 2022, 11:59 pm.

How to apply?

• The call for applications in the program will be conducted from October 17, 2022, to November 1, 2022, 11:59 p.m. The date and time of receipt of an email to polonium@pg.edu.pl will count. If a doctoral student, for objective reasons, begins his/her education at the Doctoral School later than November 1, he/she may submit an application for a follow-up grant within 1 month of the start date. 
• The application should be signed before submission and sent from the doctoral student's polytechnic email box in the domain @student.pg.edu.pl or @pg.edu.pl.
• Applications (with required signatures) should be submitted electronically (pdf format) to the Doctoral School Office at polonium@pg.edu.pl. In the title of the email, please include the name of the program: POLONIUM and the name, year and abbreviation of the discipline of study. Applications sent to another email address of the school will not be considered
