ccc
On 12 November 2025, a workshop for young researchers was held in the Creative Room of the Hydromechanics Building, organised as part of the ‘ENHANCE+ VP Research Meeting’.

The event brought together doctoral candidates representing Gdańsk University of Technology as well as other partner universities within the Alliance. It laid the foundations for the joint future project ‘ENHANCE for and with Young Researchers’.

The session was opened by the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology, prof. Krzysztof Wilde, who highlighted the strategic importance of young researchers for the development of the university and the entire scientific ecosystem. The introductory lecture was delivered by Kacper Stoś, LLM, the Ombudsman for Doctoral Candidates at the University of Łódź and Vice-Chair of the National Representation of Doctoral Candidates, thus initiating a discussion on the status of doctoral candidates in the context of international cooperation.

In the substantive part of the program, dr Agnieszka Lendzion presented the results of research on the barriers faced by young researchers at Gdańsk Tech, the solutions they proposed and the support measures already being implemented at the university. Meanwhile, Aleksandra Drelicharz from the ENHANCE Alliance (Office at Gdańsk Tech) outlined current ENHANCE initiatives for young researchers, including internship and mentoring programs as well as the Open Science Hub.

Under the guidance of dr Nina Rizun from the Faculty of Management and Economics, participants proceeded to the workshop segment, identifying key challenge areas in their work and mapping shared needs across ENHANCE universities. A set of concrete proposals was presented by Aleksandra Ławniczak, MSc Eng., Chair of the Gdańk Tech Doctoral Student Council, during the concluding meeting with the directors of the ENHANCE Doctoral Schools.
