
The Young Researchers Office is a unit of the central administration working for young scientists at the Gdańsk University of Technology. It was appointed on February 1, 2024 and reports to the Vice-Rector for Research.
Activities of the Young Researchers Office:
- initiating and conducting widely understood activities for young researchers, including doctoral students;
- supporting in career planning for young researchers;
- obtaining and disseminating information on the opportunities for the development of their research activities and networks of scientific contacts;
- developing plans to retain talented and promising young researchers;
- administrative and organisational support to the Young Researchers Team, including activities undertaken by and for young researchers at faculties and doctoral schools;
- supporting the implementation of grassroots initiatives of young researchers;
- coordination of activities planned in the HR4R Gdańsk Tech Strategy and others related to the maintenance of the HR Excellence in Research Award by the University;
- substantive supervision of the implementation of projects of the European Funds for Social Development (FERS) and other projects entrusted to the implementation of young researchers;
- improving communication channels for young researchers and active cooperation with doctoral students, assistants and assistant professors.
