Gdańsk University of Technology among the Universities of the Future
Gdańsk University of Technology successfully passed the rigorous recruitment procedure in the competition announced by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) and was selected among 12 universities that will be leaders in changing the education system for first-cycle studies.
On 13th May this year the partnership between universities was initiated at the NCBR headquarters in Warsaw. The aim of it is to prepare and jointly implement a project entitled "Universities of the Future", planned under Action 5.1 Social Innovations, Axis V Social Innovations under the European Funds for Social Development (FERS). The Gdańsk University of Technology was represented by PhD. Agnieszka Lendzion, head of the Young Researchers Office.
The project will develop and implement an innovative model of personalized education, an alternative to traditional education, based on students' original projects, cooperation with the socio-economic environment and developing key competences of the future. The changed education system will be tested until the end of 2028. The Gdańsk Tech application was prepared by the Young Researchers Office and the Strategic Projects Office with the support of employees of other Gdańsk Tech units.
